Facilities

The Filipino Community Centre hires facilities to individuals and other community groups. Fees are charged to reflect that there is a cost associated with the premises and making them available for use. They are also intended to recover a contribution to actual increased costs associated with the hirers use, e.g. electricity and consumables

Multi-purpose Hall

This is an ideal venue for various occasions, classes, workshops and events such as birthday parties, anniversaries, themed dance parties, dance classes, martial arts classes, indoor sports, conferences, general meetings, workshops, karaoke nights, concerts and even festivals. It could even be used as a studio for photographers or video makers.

Meeting Rooms

​

There are two smaller spaces located at the front entrance of the centre. These rooms are ideal venue for smaller group meetings, gatherings or classes.  It could be a changing room for performers or a green room for staff during events or temporary storage of props while an event is going on at the main hall.

Kitchen

 

The kitchen is not hired separately. This is part of the multi-purpose hall hire. The facilities in the kitchen are only available for reheating food but not for commercial cooking. 

* Chairs and tables are included in the hire of the hall and meeting rooms.

*Current rates are all inclusive of GST. 

User Categories

​

Community Groups:

Booking party is a community group for community benefit and will not charge attendees per session (e.g. youth group, cultural group, networking group). 

​

It can be a private event (non-commercial) which is closed to the public (e.g. birthday party, dance practice).

​

It can also be an open group where booking party does not charge attendees (e.g. a discussion, support or craft group). All-comers welcomed, 2-hour time limit applies.

​

Commercial:

Booking party takes fees from attendees, open participation (e.g. yoga class, children's dance class).

​

It can be a commercial private where booking party act as a business and closed to the public.
